Billy Ray Cyrus has broken his silence on recent family drama that prompted his adopted son Trace to reveal that his father had threatened legal action after making a public plea for the country music star to get help.

The ordeal began after Billy Ray delivered an awkward performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration. His stage presence raised eyebrows as he struggled with technical issues while growing increasingly hostile and awkward on stage.

The performance sparked concern among fans as well as family, with Trace writing in an open letter shared on social media, “You’re not healthy Dad, and everyone is noticing it.”
