The Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday endorsed Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La., for House Speaker.

“CPAC urges a vote in support of Speaker Mike Johnson, and will strongly consider scoring the vote on CPAC Foundation’s 54th Edition of The Ratings of Congress,” the group said on X.

“House Republicans must avoid the public spectacle of endless Speaker votes, which will waste precious time and weaken President [-elect Donald] Trump’s agenda.
