Ignoring the 2016 and 2000 presidential election challenges on behalf of Democrats, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., told Newsmax before Monday’s joint session of Congress that Democrats would not object to certifying the election results.

“There are no election deniers on our side of the aisles, so we’re just going to do our constitutional duty,” Raskin told Newsmax’s Mike Carter in an impromptu one-on-one interview before the vote.

Raskin’s remarks trolled Republicans for calling for debate on the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory on Jan. 6, 2021 – which had the objections signed by sitting senators unlike the Democrats’ objections that were not signed in 2016 nor 2000.
