FBI: No Credible Threats Against Trump Inauguration

Washington, D.C., police officials say they are “fully prepared” to maintain safety during President Donald Trump’s inauguration next Monday, while the FBI added it’s not tracking any “credible threats” in connection with the event.

Mayor Muriel Bowser held a press conference Monday to discuss security measures for the inauguration. She was joined by district and federal authorities.

“We are not currently tracking any specific or credible threats to the inaugural ceremony or to the Capitol complex,” FBI special agent David Sundberg said. “We will continue to work closely with our partners to share information and identify and disrupt any threat that may emerge.”
