Former NATO Supreme Commander Gen. Wesley Clark told Newsmax on Friday that “countries like Iran are trembling in their boots,” because they do not know what President Donald Trump will do.
In the first week of Trump’s new administration, the world saw the Iranian-backed Houthis redesignated as a foreign terrorist organization and Secretary of State Marco Rubio tell Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the U.S. has “unwavering support” for Israel. Clark said on “American Agenda” that the world doesn’t know if Trump will “use military force to back Israel and go after regime change [in Iran] or not.“
“But I think the Iranians need to be on their best behavior. And it’s time for Iran to come forward and cough up those nuclear assets and try to get right with the world,” Clark said.
