Rep. Bergman to Newsmax: Trump Rightfully Reorienting Military

President Donald Trump is putting a stop to things that aren’t working in the U.S. military and have no value to future security, including vaccinations and DEI initiatives, Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Mich., said Thursday on Newsmax.

Trump this week vowed to bring back more than 8,000 troops booted for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine, promising them back pay. He also pledged to rebuild the military and avoid unnecessary wars during his term and “said he would sign an order to stop our warriors from being subjected to radical political theories and social experiments while on duty.”

“It’s a great start,” Bergman, a retired three-star lieutenant general in the U.S. Marine Corps, said on “National Report.” “It sends the signal that when something isn’t working, regardless, in this case, vaccinations in the military, subject to DEI initiatives and training and all that. If something is not working, stop it.
