Rep. Krishnamoorthi to Newsmax: TikTok Buyers Lining Up

Buyers of the popular video-sharing app TikTok are lining up, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill., suggested to Newsmax.

On Monday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order postponing the app’s ban for 75 days. Initially, the Justice Department was charged with enforcing the Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, signed by former President Joe Biden in April. The law mandated the banning of the app starting Jan. 19, unless it is sold to a buyer in the U.S. — or one of its “allies,” according to CNN.

Krishnamoorthi told “The Record with Greta Van Susteren” that “people like Mr. [Kevin] O’Leary of ‘Shark Tank,'” former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and real estate mogul, “Frank McCourt, as well as Mr. Beast, Jimmy Donaldson” are looking to purchase the app.
