Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Pa., told Newsmax on Friday that he might run for governor of Pennsylvania, noting that he’s giving the idea strong consideration with an eye on following the examples set by other Republican-led states.

Meuser told The Hill this month that he is “considering” a bid to challenge Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, when he comes up for reelection in 2026.

Asked on “National Report” if he’s giving a gubernatorial campaign “strong consideration,” Meuser said, “Yes, I’d say that’s correct.”
