Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., told Newsmax on Tuesday that if the United States were to make a play to purchase Greenland from Denmark, “there is no one any better to deal” than President-elect Donald Trump.
Earlier in the day, Donald Trump Jr. arrived in Greenland following reports that the incoming Trump administration is interested in buying the artic Danish territory. Greenland is stategically located, contains many rare earth metals, and is home to a U.S. military base.
The president-elect on Tuesday said he would not rule out the use of military force to seize control of the Panama Canal and Greenland, as he declared U.S. control of both to be vital to American national security.
