No matter what a federal judge rules, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Newsmax on Thursday he is opposed to birthright citizenship.

“I think birthright citizenship is ridiculous. We’re one of the few nations that allow it,” Johnson said on “Rob Schmitt Tonight.”

A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order ending the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship regardless of the parents’ immigration status.
