Sens. Cynthia Lummis, R-Wyo., and Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., told Newsmax on Thursday it is important to preserve women’s sports for biological women.

“It’s dangerous to have men in the locker room, not to mention extremely uncomfortable,” Lummis said on “National Report.” “It’s ridiculous to put the superior physiology that men enjoy in competition with women. It’s just common sense to have women’s sports just for women.”

The House passed “The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act” on Tuesday that would ban transgender athletes from competing in women’s and girls’ sports at schools that receive federal funding. The vote was 218-206.
