Sheriff Cleveland to Newsmax: Border Patrol Has Trump Support

Retired border agent Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland expressed his relief on Newsmax that Customs and Border Protection will now have the support they need from President-elect Donald Trump to carry out their mission.

Commenting to “American Agenda” on The New York Times report: “Recent Immigration Surge Has Been Largest in U.S. History,” Cleveland sloughed off the outlet, noting that the problem had been going on for years during the Biden administration. But now, he added, “the Border Patrol has support coming in with President Trump.”

Cleveland also said it was a “slap in the face to not just the men and women of the us Border Patrol, but American citizens as well” for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to institute a new rule, changing work permits for illegal migrants from 180 days to 540 days.
