Sting Cancels Concerts Due to Illness

Sting postponed two upcoming shows and canceled a planned appearance at an awards ceremony, citing health concerns. 

The 73-year-old musician and former frontman of The Police will not attend the Bass Magazine Awards on Thursday, where he was set to receive a lifetime achievement honor.

Sting, whose birth name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, also rescheduled performances originally planned for Phoenix and Wheatland, California. The concerts, previously set for earlier dates, were pushed to May and June.
