President-elect Donald Trump trolled Democrats for running on what he called the misguided promise of raising taxes and said they should get behind extending his historic 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

Some aspects of the plan face expiration during the new Congress.

“It would be awfully hard to imagine” Democrats would oppose cutting taxes on Americans, but Trump told the “The Hugh Hewitt Show” on Monday morning that he could not put anything past their new-age progressive agenda “just because the they happen to dislike Republicans” or him.
