President Donald Trump said Easter Sunday he hopes Russia and Ukraine will make a deal this week to end the conflict in Ukraine.

“Hopefully Russia and Ukraine will make a deal this week,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post as the warring countries exchanged accusations of violating a Easter ceasefire. “Both will then start to do big business with the United States of America, which is thriving, and make a fortune!”

For now Ukraine is hoping for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia, which is claimed the war is only ongoing because of their hostilities.
